Coffee In the Sun – Three Romantic Coffee Shop Getaways
3 Coffee Shops in the Sun
Ceresia Coffee Roasters – Bangkok
Put your phone down. Put away your laptop. There’s no Wi-Fi at Ceresia. It may be a bit weird today when good cups of coffee usually go together with free Internet. Who knows, maybe it’s their hidden agenda: face to face, not face to phone. With its wooden interiors, orange brick walls and yellow lighting, Ceresia serves not just great coffee but also a warm and relaxing vibe. This is one of the more peaceful specialty coffee shops in Bangkok. Ceresia also roasts their own beans, sometimes offering up to six single-origins on a weekly rotation (other cafes usually have two to three choices). The beans they choose are both from local farms and the best coffee farms around the world.
Raw Coffee Company – Dubai
A brand new boutique roastery in Al Quoz, supplying other coffee shops with 100 per cent locally roasted, 100 per cent organic and 100 per cent ethically traded fresh Arabica coffee. They’ve got their own coffee shop set up as well, complete with espresso bar, brew bar, as well as comfy sofas, a great sound system and wifi.
Cafe Demetrio – Miami
Cafe Demetrio is the quintessential coffee shop, where suits, students and artists alike feel right at home. Supporters of this family-owned business and Coral Gables institution rave about the great service, while serious coffee drinkers frequent the cafe for its selection of traditional drinks (chances are your cappuccino will have foam art) and delicious fare—the quiches in particular are remarkable. Though if it’s ambiance you’re after, you have the option to sit out back in the shaded courtyard that feels like you’ve stepped onto the patio of an Italian villa.
