Online Dating Rises As Temperatures Fall
As the Autumn draws near, singles across the Country are seeking to raise the temperature with a bit of online romance.
Back to the office after summer holidays, singletons are seemingly turning their attention to finding a new partner via their laptop, some of the UK’s largest online dating sites are reporting a big increase in traffic since the start of September.
Dating Site Operators says visitors to popular sites have soared by 55% in the last week, with the busiest time of day coming at 1500 rather than the traditional 2200.
The big increase in people using dating websites comes at a time when the industry is already booming.
This vast increase has come as more adults are computer literate, the old stigma attached to joining dating agencies has dissipated, and the ability to join an agency via a laptop makes people more comfortable and confident to take the plunge.According to a study by market researchers, the number of Britons paying to use online dating agencies is set to grow from 6 million people in 2012 to 9 million by 2016.
“In light of these figures, I’d be interested to see how much work is going on in offices up and down the country” said spokeswoman Gloria Harmsworth.
So with another Winter looming, many people who have found a prospective new partner via a dating website, so for some, things may be Hotting Up!
